I am a painter, printmaker, a maker, as well as a wife and a mom who happens to homeschool. I have been affected deeply by grace poured into every crevice of my life and indebted to a loving creator who died and rose for me. I am compelled to make things and driven to create.

I always want to be making something with my hands. I am forever inspired by people and love making portraits. Lately when I go to start a project I usually have some kind of an idea that I want to illustrate. If I'm painting something abstract or nonrepresentational, color, shape and texture are strong elements in my work. I suppose any idea or subject I come to begin a project with is just a point of departure which leads to something that kind of takes on a life of its own.

Fun Fact: Etsy and I share an anniversary! I was married to my best friend, Fred, on the same day Etsy was born back in 2005. Fred inspires me and we enjoy collaborating and inspiring and challenging each other to keep making and to bring glory to God who has given us a passion for making to reflect His creativity.
